    Respect. Openness. High Expectations.

In business, we often hear about companies maintaining open door policies. Tom Simonds believes in taking it one step further and eliminating the doors altogether—both literally and figuratively. Why no doors? Because we're moving out of the industrial age with top-down organizations, and moving into an information economy. And with the removal of doors the flow of information is enhanced. Employees become more informed, making better decisions.

Tom believes an informed employee is a productive employee.

Tom sees the job of a Chief Executive Officer as one that creates the culture, plans the strategy, and sets the business goals. While he is results-oriented, he doesn't micromanage. Rather, he expects his employees to execute his vision and business goals with a minimum of oversight. This requires a high level of professionalism among employees—that they take their job seriously—and it confers a high level of responsibility upon them. He respects his employees for what they bring to the equation and expects a similar level of respect among team members. Being results-oriented, Tom rewards success and steps in quickly to fix any unsatisfactory situations.
